A group of South African cigarette manufacturers, which includes Adriano Mazzotti's Carnilinx, has again gone to court in a bid to stop the SA Revenue Service (SARS) from installing CCTV cameras to monitor their warehouses.
The Fair-Trade Independent Tobacco Association (FITA) says requiring its members to let the tax agency install CCTV cameras for 24-hour a-day surveillance of warehouses is unconstitutional.
FITA is a tobacco association made up of a number of local companies, including Carnilinx, Best Tobacco, Folha, Home of Cut Rag and Protobac.
