Phillipine Mtikitiki's career at Coca-Cola has come full circle, as more than 20 years in the company, which placed her in countries across Africa, brings her back home.
In January 2022, it will be a year since Mtikitiki was appointed to her position as vice president of Coca-Cola’s South Africa franchise. But Mtikitiki is no stranger to the 135-year-old beverage company, which poured its first Coca-Cola in Africa 90 years ago - she has grown in the company from her first position in 1998, as a graduate, to her current role.
And it has been a busy year for Mtikitiki, whose appointment was followed by Coca-Cola’s first foray into the liquor industry, with the launch of its alcoholic seltzer brand Topo Chico in October.
