Fishing group Oceana, which has been hit by financial and management turbulence in recent months, has found a replacement auditor for PwC, who abruptly resigned earlier this year.
The Lucky Star-owner said that based on its audit committee’s recommendations and following a tender process, it appointed Mazars as its external auditor for the financial year ending 30 September 2022, effective immediately
"Given the proximity to the year end, the new appointment may necessitate a delay to the group’s normal reporting timetable and consequently the board expects to report provisional reviewed results for the year… by no later than 31 December 2022, and to release audited results by no later than 31 January 2023."
