Northam Platinum CEO Paul Dunne says he and his management team have no regrets over a failed plan to acquire control of Royal Bafokeng Platinum, which ultimately saw the miner book a multibillion-rand impairment.
Asked by News24 if he looked back on the RBPlat matter with regret, Dunne said, "Not at all".
There is nothing wrong with the assets in question, the long-serving CEO said, "but the value we prepared to pay for it under these market conditions is not the same as it was two years ago".
