South Africa is full of great promise, and it was on clear display at News24's inaugural On the Record summit held in Sandton, Johannesburg last week.
The event, which was hosted in partnership with Nedbank, explored the biggest threats to the country’s progress, including corruption, poor economic conditions and civic apathy, and how to overcome them.
A powerful keynote address was delivered by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, who lambasted the ANC government for allowing state capture and corruption to run rampant over the past decade.
The summit featured six panel discussions involving a host of top leaders and change makers who are invested in rebuilding South Africa after years of graft, poor service delivery and political turbulence.
Panelists dissected the main impediments to South Africa's growth and offered up a range of proposal to unlocking the nation's potential.
