Tenants in good standing increasing in SA, despite tough economy, but some challenges remain

A positive trend has emerged in the local property market with landlords seeing an increase in tenants in good standing and meeting their rental obligations.

This according to the latest data from TPN's Residential Rental Monitor for the third quarter of 2023 which revealed the number of tenants in good standing had increased for three consecutive quarters.  

It revealed in the third quarter of 2023, about 83.34% of tenants were classified as tenants in good standing, from 81.86% in the first quarter and 82.73% in the second quarter.
