Workers desperate to access money in times of need are left stranded because of the dysfunction at the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) meant to assist workers who have lost their jobs or are on maternity leave.

This is unacceptable said Business Unity SA (Busa). It wants the fund to be placed under administration with immediate effect because of the systemic dysfunction that has befallen the scheme to which workers contribute.
