The SA Reserve Bank (Sarb) has expressed optimism in government's efforts to tackle the country’s energy crisis, while also raising concerns about fiscal strains amid high expenditure and sluggish economic growth.

On Tuesday, the Sarb released its biannual Monetary Policy Review (MPR) document, which spans 63 pages and is aimed at enhancing public understanding of monetary policy.
