Kensington Palace has addressed rumours about Kate Middleton's health, which have circulated online due to her abdominal surgery recovery.
Speculation about Kate's health grew after Prince William missed the memorial service for his godfather, King Constantine of Greece, due to a "personal matter" on Tuesday, the palace announced. They added that Kate was recovering well.

"We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant," a spokesperson for the princess said, according to People.
The spokesperson reiterated that Kate was "doing well".
One of the conspiracy theories about Kate involves her being in a coma, which was even propagated in Spanish media. Other baseless theories revolve around the type of surgery Kate had received.
Some of the speculation was more light-hearted, with online users making memes about Kate's health. The Princess of Wales' lack of public appearances has also contributed to the spread of rumours.
Her last public appearance was on Christmas day at a church in Sandringham.
The palace has provided updates or responses on Kate's health several times.
"[Kate] hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible," the palace said when her surgery was announced in January.
They added that she wished for her personal medical information to remain private.
On 29 January, the palace shared that the princess had returned home after the surgery, making good progress.
