Gary Barlow, singer-songwriter and member of the boy band Take That, has reportedly landed a new ITV food and wine show that explores South Africa, according to UK media.

Barlow, who owns a self-titled wine brand, is set to visit SA vineyards, explore local cuisine and other attractions like Safari tours as part of the travelogue series.

"He's a huge fan of South Africa and has been there on several occasions previously, so it was a natural choice as a destination for his first travelogue," a TV insider told The Sun UK.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - JULY 04: Gary Barlow attends
Gary Barlow attends the launch of Gary Barlow Wines new Organic Sauvignon Blanc and Blush at Harvey Nichols on 4 July 2023 in Manchester, England.

"And, of course, because it is one of the world's biggest producers of fine wines, he will be in his absolute element delivering this show," the source said.

The program is due to air on ITV later this year.

Barlow is expected to film the show ahead of Take That's This Life tour from 13 April 2024 to 14 November 2024. Take That further consists of members Howard Donald and Mark Owen; singers Robbie Williams and Jason Orange were previous members of the band.

Barlow sources his wine from SA and has shown his appreciation for the country's wine industry several times on his social media.

On 12 January, he posted a photo from SA with the caption:

"Sip purposefully with our Organic Sauvignon Blanc and Organic Sauvignon Blush from South Africa. Each bottle narrates a tale of passion, respect, and winemaking art. Join our journey where taste meets conscience."

He also posted a photo from Stellenbosch with the caption "On Top of the World".

On Barlow's wine website, there is a video posted which was shot at different wine farms in SA, including Delaire Graff, just outside Stellenbosch, Org de Rac in Piketberg, and Klein Constantia.
