Suidooster baddie Tim Du Plooy, aka Timmy Boy, finally got his just desserts.

Over the past few weeks, Tim (played by Marco Spaumer) went to great lengths to take control of the Jacobs legacy, from a fake will to even arranging the kidnapping of his wife Zoë (played by Lauren Joseph). Things finally came to a halt after he shot Nazeem (Irvine van der Merwe) and held Zoë and Bridgette (Denise Newman) hostage.

On Friday's episode, Tim was disarmed by the trio, and viewers saw him hauled away in handcuffs, vowing that he would take everyone down with him.

In Monday's episode, Tim faced the court, where he pleaded guilty to his crimes, in a last ditch attempt he tried to bring the Jacobs' down. With his bail denied, a suspenseful chapter in Suidooster came to a gripping close. This also marks the end of Spaumer's journey with the soapie, having been a part of it since its first episode.

"I never want to admit it publicly, but it was a jol to portray a scoundrel to the likes of Tim," Spaumer admits about his character.

I truly can't believe how upset people can become with a fictional character in a program. Yet it is an enormous privilege to follow in other soapie villains' tracks and at the same time be able to leave my behind.

"It is rather strange to say goodbye to Suidooster and feels like a kind of loss to me to part with Tim. He was part of my life for a long time. Yet, at the same time, I am truly excited about what awaits me now," says Spaumer.

Suidooster airs Mondays to Fridays at 18:30 on kykNET (DStv 144) and kykNET & Kie (DStv 145).
