DA Gauteng premier candidate Solly Msimanga is confident the outrage over the party's elections advert will not derail his campaign to win over voters in the province.

Msimanga told News24 in an interview that interactions with voters this week had revealed no damage having been done because "people understand the message". 

The Gauteng premier hopeful was speaking at a DA rally in Soweto, which marked the end of the party's "Rescue Tour".
