In an attempt to ensure passenger and driver safety, long-haul bus company Intercape wants national and Eastern Cape transport authorities to be hauled before court.
Their court efforts has two legs - one involving the authorities' alleged failure to come up with a safety plan in line with a previous court order, and another for the police's alleged failure to investigate numerous reports of bus attacks in the province.
In the first, a contempt of court application has been set down for Thursday in the Eastern Cape High Court in Makhanda.
