Germany sends much aid to Gaza, almost no weapons to Israel, it tells ICJ in 'genocide' defence

Nicaragua told the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday Germany is starving Palestinians of aid while giving Israel weapons it knows will be used to perpetrate genocide, in breach of international law.

None of that is true, Germany said in its response on Tuesday, adding it was, in fact, the single largest donor of aid to Gaza, and had provided next to no weapons of war to Israel.

And while it was doing its utmost to both alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and help secure Israel, Germany said, Nicaragua was seeking to draw the ICJ into its "one-sided view of the conflict" with a case that featured neither of the parties involved in it.
