A Bolivian baby has big boots to fill if he's ever to live up to his name. The tot's parents named their son Griezmann Mbappé Chambi Pacaje, after French soccer players Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann Mbappé was the first baby to be born on 1 January in the Atacama Desert, Chile, to Teodora Pacaje and Héctor Chambi, both soccer fanatics. First-time mother Teodora chose Mbappé, while Héctor picked out Griezmann.
“We're humble people who like football and sport,” Héctor said.
Naming children after soccer players seems to be a tradition in the couple’s family. Griezmann Mbappé’s three-year-old half-brother is named James Modric, while their cousins are Alexis Charles, Andrés Iniesta, Neymar Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi. It won't be long before they have a whole squad under their roof!
Griezmann Mbappé's parents aren't the only ones who've chosen interesting names for their children. These couples also decided to go with unusual, some might say outrageous, names for their kids.
'Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii' changes her name
A 9-year-old girl from New Zealand saddled with the name Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii had her name changed by a New Zealand judge in 2008. The girl, who went by the moniker K, was too humiliated to reveal her true name to her pals.
"The court is profoundly concerned about the very poor judgment that this child's parents have shown in choosing this name. It makes a fool of the child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap unnecessarily,” Judge Rob Murfitt said.

He also called out other parents who named their children Stallion, Yeah Detroit, Fish and Chips, Twisty Poi, Keenan Got Lucy and Sex Fruit.
The parents who named their kid after an internet service provider
In 2020 Swiss internet provider Twifi offered 18 years of free Wi-Fi to parents who named their son Twifius or daughters Twifia.
A couple in their 30 gave their baby Twifia as a third name. The pair, who chose to remain anonymous because they didn't feel like justifying their actions, said the name was growing on them.
“For me, the name Twifia also stands for connection in this context. For an eternal bond,” the mother said. “There are much worse names. And the more often we say ‘Twifia’, the heartier the name sounds.
“The longer I thought about it, the more unique the name became for me, and that was when the thing got its charm,” the father said.
The parents admitted to being "ashamed" about naming their kid Twifia but have vowed to put the money they would've spent on Wi-Fi into a savings account for their daughter.
