The new year has been filled with new experiences for Siya Kolisi – he’s moved to a different province, joined a new rugby team and now he’s also trying his hand at filmmaking. 

Siya (29) and his wife, Rachel, are the executive producers of a short film set to premiere at the Pan African Film Festival, which runs from 28 February to 14 March in Los Angeles. 

The film, titled We Are Dying Here, is centred on gender-based violence. “We couldn’t be more proud to have partnered for a short film that’s massively impactful and needed now more than ever,” Rachel (31) said on social media.
