Power supply 'extremely constrained' but no cuts planned for Saturday - Eskom

Eskom says that while SA's power supply remains "extremely constrained and vulnerable" no load shedding is planned for Saturday. 

Unplanned breakdowns, however, are still about 10 500 MW, roughly a quarter of SA's total nominal capacity. 

The utility also needs to replenish diesel supplies for use by open cycle gas turbines. "Any unexpected shift," it said, could cause rotational power cuts at short notice.
