Eskom has announced in a power alert that stage 4 load shedding will again be implemented on Wednesday as it continues to battle a shortage of available capacity.
This will be the sixth consecutive day that South Africans face rotational power cuts.
The embattled power utility also said that stage 4 load shedding would continue until 23:00 on Tuesday.
Eskom said stage 2 power cuts would also occur overnight on Tuesday until 09:00 on Wednesday when stage 4 will recommence.
Stage 4 load shedding allows for up to 4000 MW to be cut from the national grid.
