Minister of Social Development Lindiwe Zulu and acting director-general Linton Mchunu are accused of embarking on a witch-hunt to remove senior managers who opposed and exposed the irregular reappointment of four executive committee members in acting capacities.

The department has instituted an investigation into the 34 senior managers and Nehawu representatives for blowing the whistle on the reappointment of the committee members, who include Mchunu.
