Saipa gets sought-after status

Johannesburg - The South African Institute of Professional Accountants has achieved a sought-after ISO (the International Organisation for

Standardisation) 9001:2008 status.

It is South Africa's first professional accountancy body to get the international nod for its quality management system.

Saipa says this Quality Management System certification now puts it in the same league as many of the world's top service organisations.

Saipa's compliance manager, Angela Schultz, said: "Achieving this certification is in line with our company's values and strategic objectives, which place great emphasis on stakeholder satisfaction. It is proof that our company follows internationally recognised quality management principles.

Saipa has over 10 000 members who regularly attend its Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshops.

Schultz said: "We realise that our members and other stakeholders have choices when it comes to the professional bodies and development partners with which they align themselves, so we believe it's our responsibility to provide them with the best possible service and experience in their every interaction with us.

"Our ISO status promises that when you deal with Saipa you're guaranteed to receive professional service that's hallmarked by attention to detail - an all-round good experience," said Schultz.
