It is all too rare that a public servant wins the admiration of both the public and private sectors. But that is certainly the case for Dr Phindile Masangane, the CEO of the Petroleum Agency South Africa (PASA), whose imminent exit from the organisation has evoked a notable response from those who know her.
As she steps down from the agency this coming Monday, observers have expressed gratitude for her meaningful work in leading PASA over the past three years.
As one source put it: "She is a true South African asset".
