The Central Energy Fund (CEF) group, an entity owned by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, says it will appoint a technical partner before the end of the year to help it resuscitate the Mossel Bay gas-to-liquids (GTL) fuel refinery that has been shut since it ran out of gas feedstock late in 2020.
Once the appointment had been made, the next step would be for the partners to source gas feedstock and put up infrastructure to resume production at the 46 000-barrels-per-day refinery, owned by PetroSA.
