The future is battery-electric, or at least that's what the dominant narrative appears to be as the world plots the most expeditious and effective transition away from fossil fuels.

But there are some hard realities to consider, and Sibanye-Stillwater CEO Neal Froneman wasn't afraid to say as much to French president Emmanuel Macron in a recent roundtable that also included Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
