Craig Warriner, the Johannesburg investment manager behind the scandal-ridden BHI Trust, appears to be planning to negotiate a plea deal with the state. 

The 60-year-old appeared briefly in the Palm Ridge Commercial Crimes Court on Wednesday, wearing a Harley-Davidson T-shirt and Crocs. 

The prosecutor told the court that Warriner would bring an application under Section 105 of the Criminal Procedure Act at his next hearing in May. This section of the act allows an accused to enter into a plea and sentence agreement with the state.
