What are public notices?

Public notices are adverts placed online to inform the public about available tenders, government notices, and legal notices. These notices are categorised under various topics, such as general notices, late estates, lost title deeds, demolition, insolvent estates, adoptions, etc.

Where can I find the public notices?

Public notices can be found on News24 (https://www.news24.com/news24/notices), Netwerk24 (https://www.netwerk24.com/netwerk24/kennisgewings), or SNL24 (https://www.snl24.com/snl24/notices) mobile and desktop websites.

Do I need to subscribe to get access to public notices?

No, you do not need to subscribe to News24, Netwerk24 or SNL24, but you must be a registered user to access public notices.

Do I pay to register on the News24, Netwerk24 or SNL24 websites?

No, registration is free with no obligation. If you are not already registered on any of these sites, you can register at News24 | Sign up, Netwerk24 | Registreer and SNL24 | Sign up

Can I get alerts on the latest published public notices?

Currently, these sites do not have an alert feature for public notices. Visit the News24, Netwerk24 or SNL24 websites for the latest public notices.

Public notices will be available on News24, Netwerk24 or SNL24 websites for 120 days.

Do I need to search for place names in English on the Netwerk24 site?

When a user searches for a public notice from the Netwerk24 site using location, English place names must be used in cases where towns have both English and Afrikaans names. For example, if you are searching for "Kaapstad" on the Netwerk24 site, "Cape Town" must be used for all "Kaapstad" public notices to be displayed.
