The high-level police probe into the murder of Anti-Gang Unit detective Lieutenant-Colonel Charl Kinnear has revealed that Zane Kilian – the man alleged to have used shadowy cellphone spying technology to track the policeman’s movements thousands of times before the killing – was not alone in his surveillance of the veteran officer.
A News24 investigation has revealed that two other men – Andrew Brophy and another who cannot be named – had been tracking Kinnear as early as September 2018.
According to an impeccable source in law enforcement, as well as documents, Kilian and the others had been on the payroll of a Cape Town underworld figure.
