A Gauteng-based law firm faced a setback when the sheriff of the court was unable to carry out a warrant to arrest the municipal manager of the City of Johannesburg, Floyd Brink.

Stefan Erasmus from Gittins Attorneys, who represents Pibir Investments in a legal action against the City and Brink, told News24 he suspected political interference hindered Brink's arrest.
