The corruption, fraud and mismanagement that has occurred among South Africa's state-owned enterprises (SOEs) over the past two decades took different forms and persisted into the present period, despite the best efforts by many in the African National Congress (ANC) government to stop it.
This has sadly been the record of SOEs since the ANC won power in the 1994 watershed elections.
