The owner of the company, who scored the tender to supply the Eastern Cape Department of Health with the controversial scooter ambulances, is fighting tooth and nail to understand why the Special Tribunal set aside the tender.
In September 2020, the Special Tribunal granted the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) an order interdicting the provincial health department from proceeding with the project.
It also granted an order that set aside the tender and declared it invalid.
