Dr Xanti Pupuma's football life has been shaped by two clubs called Chiefs, and both hold a special place in his heart.
These two teams will square off against each other at FNB Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off at 18:00, when Kaizer Chiefs takes on Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford FC in the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.
Pupuma - owner and interim coach of Milford - grew up in Nqamakhwe, in the rural part of the Eastern Cape, as a staunch Chiefs supporter. His family didn't have a television set, so he followed the club on radio. There colourful commentary painted vivid pictures of some of the stars he grew up admiring, including the likes of Fani Madida, Shane McGregor and Trevor Mthimkhulu.
