Netflix stalker thriller You has been renewed for season four ahead of its season three debut on Friday, 15 October.

The series based on the books You and Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes stars Penn Badgley and is developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble.

In a statement, Greg said he was instantly obsessed with Joe Goldberg after reading the novel.

"And it's been thrilling to watch Penn bring Joe to creepy yet compelling life. We're deeply grateful that Netflix has shown You such monumental support, and that people around the world have enjoyed watching Joe really get it all very wrong over the past three seasons. The whole You team is excited to explore new, dark facets of love in Season 4," reports Variety.

In season three, Joe and Love (Victoria Pedretti) are now married and raising their baby in Madre Linda in Northern California. There they are surrounded by tech entrepreneurs, mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers.
